Skin Diaires: Obagi Blue Radiance Peel Day 2

48 hours into my Obagi Blue Radiance Peel and when I woke up that evening my skin was ripe! Lawd have mercy on my soul that morning, I woke up with maybe one or two flakes of dead skin that had peeled on my face, within hours my entire mouth area began peeling. You’re NOT supposed to pick the face during this process; the skin should naturally peel on its own. Pulling and peeling it off is highly discouraged!! This photos are quite graphic guys but this is what it began to look like within hours that day

It looks painful but it wasn’t really, just very tight and uncomfortable. Especially because I talk a lot and I like to eat, so the movement around my mouth did the most peeling and the fastest.

By the end of my 12 hour work shift just from talking and moving the dead skin began to peel and lift, it was so bad I had to cover my face with a shawl for entire night! After some of the skin peeled off this is what it looked like, you can see the faw skin underneath.

my forhead and the bridge of my nose area are still in that wrinkly phase but haven’t quite peeled yet. I’ve been doing these little exercises with my forhead to try to get the skin to soften a bit so it can start peeling lol But as you can see it’s looking very wrinkly!!

tis all for now! Wait until you see the final results :)

Hi! I just had the obagi blue peel radiance done yesterday, and I was happy to find your blog documenting your results. I can’t believe you went to work with your face peeling! I am sitting in my house pouting because I had to cancel all of my weekend plans :-( My face only looks like your day-1 so far… I hope I’m mostly back to normal by monday!

So was it the Blue Peel you had or the Radiance as your skin was peeling quite extensively, which I would expect with the original Blue Peel? The Radiance Peel is superficial and shouldn’t cause that much peeling. I had the Radiance Peel yesterday and there is no sign of any peeling, however, I have been on the Nu Derm System for around 22 weeks which prepares skin for peels.
